General Requirements

  1. Registered with the Malaysian Medical Council; AND

  2. Undergraduate medical degree from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia or other universities recognised by the Senate; AND

  3. Obtain the required score in the Medical Specialist Pre-entrance Examination (MedEx)聽聽for the Clinical Masters program intended; AND

  4. International candidates must聽 submit proof of proficiency in spoken and written english.聽 An eligible candidate
    must have IELTS 鈮� Band 6.0聽or any equivalent qualification such as MUET 鈮� Band 4.5 or TOEFL iBT 鈮� 79 or Person Test of English 鈮� 63 or Cambridge English Qualifications and Test 鈮� 176 (with proof), taken within the last two years prior to application; AND

  5. International and self-financed applicants must produce an accepted written proof of financial status either in the form of an active bank/financial Institution statement or an accepted letter of guarantee; AND

  6. International applicants must have undergone supervised clinical attachment (minimum 3 months) in the Faculty of Medicine Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia with good clinical performance; AND

  7. Fulfill other specific requirements for each clinical Masters program (Please refer to program coordinator).

DEFINITION

Credentialing: a process to set the standards and to do an evaluation for a person鈥檚 qualification in a field or procedure. It is recognition for the professional training done by a medical practitioner.

Privileges: the rights given by the hospital for a medical practitioner to give treatments or to do procedures on hospital patients based on the qualifications of the training, and the medical practitioner鈥檚 experience and expertise.
