Entry Requirements

1. ²Ñ²¹²õ³Ù±ð°ù’s degree (research mode) from ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ or any institution of higher learning recognised by the ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ Senate;

or

2. ²Ñ²¹²õ³Ù±ð°ù’s degree (clinical) from ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ or any institutions of higher learning recognised by the ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ Senate;

or

3. ²Ñ²¹²õ³Ù±ð°ù’s degree (course work or mixed-mode) with minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.00 from ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ or any institutions of higher learning recognised by the ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ Senate;

or

4. Other qualification equivalent to the ²Ñ²¹²õ³Ù±ð°ù’s degree or have other qualification with at least 5 years experiences recognised by the ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ Senate;

or

5. Candidates who are currently pursuing a full-time ²Ñ²¹²õ³Ù±ð°ù’s degree in research mode at the University and approved by the Graduate Studies Committee of the Faculty to change status to a Doctoral Degree program, with the approval of the Dean of the Faculty.

and

6. For international candidates, English language proficiency test score of minimum for TOEFL is 550 (paper-based, PBT) or 80 (internet-based, iBT) or 213 (computer-based, CBT); Band 6.0 for IELTS; Band 4 for MUET; Pearson Test of English (PTE - Academic) is 51; Cambridge English Qualifications is 160. The result must still be in its validity period by the time of application.

and

7. Pass the interview at the Faculty level;

and

8. Other requirements set by the University Senate, as stipulated in the ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ Acts and Regulations (Graduate Studies).

Note: International candidates are required to take one (1) Malay Language  course equivalent to three (3) units set by the University. Exemptions can be given to candidates who have completed equivalent Bahasa Melayu courses held by other institutions recognised by the University.

Application

• Applicants are advised to communicate with the potential supervisor(s) prior to application for a higher chance of acceptance.
• Applicants are required to submit a brief research proposal which they intend to carry out.
• The proposal should contain no more than 1,000 words comprising of field of research, topic of research, problem statement, research objectives, methodology, research significance and references.
