Change in Study Mode<\/strong><\/p>

  • Application may be made once throughout the period of study and made in writing to the Dean four (4) weeks from the date the semester begins.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    Change of Registration Type<\/strong><\/p>

    • Application to change the type of registration from full time to part time or vice versa may be made once throughout the period of study and made in writing to the Dean four (4) weeks from the date the semester begins. This application may only be made by Malaysian candidates attending the coursework, research and mixed mode of study.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

      Change of Programme<\/strong><\/p>

      • Application may be made once throughout the period of study and made in writing to the Deans of both faculties two (2) semesters from the date of admission to the University.<\/p><\/li>

      • All application for the above should be made using the Change Type of Registration\/Program\/Mode Application form (糖心原创\/PPPS\/C\/PO3\/AK08\/01).<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

        Requirement of Bahasa Melayu<\/strong><\/p>

        All international students are required to complete and passed one (1) course of Bahasa Melayu organised by the University.<\/span><\/p>

        • LMCM1083 Malay Language International Communication<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

          Exemptions may be granted to students who have attended and passed an equivalent Malay Language course organized by other parties approved by the Senate. All application for course exemption should be made using the Course Exemption Application form (糖心原创\/PPPS\/C\/PO3\/AK07\/01).<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

          All students are required to register every semester for the duration of his\/her study. Students are required to pay tuition fees before being allowed to register. Students who are sponsored, please submit a copy of the sponsorship letter to the Student Finance Section, Bursary 糖心原创.<\/p>

          New Students<\/strong><\/p>

          • Registration shall be made within the specified date and time.<\/p><\/li>

          • Students may ask for delay or postponement of registration based on reasonable grounds. Written application must be sent to the Centre for Academic Management (PPA) within the period of the first four (4) weeks of each semester.<\/p><\/li>

          • Students who fail to register during the offered semester\/session without written approval from the Dean of the Faculty to postpone the registration, the offer of admission will be revoked.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

            Returning Students<\/strong><\/p>

            • All students are required to register their courses\/thesis online at SMPWEB (http:\/\/www.ukm.my\/smpweb) at least one (1) week before the semester begins with condition that the study fee has been paid (current and outstanding fee).<\/p><\/li>

            • Failure to register before the semester\/session begins will result in the student getting the \u201cLate Registration\u201d status and a penalty of RM50 will be imposed and charged directly into students\u2019 account.<\/p><\/li>

            • Students who fail to register within four (4) weeks after the semester\/session begins without written approval from the Dean of the Faculty to postpone his study will be given a status of \u201cDismissed Due to Failure to Register\u201d.<\/p><\/li>

            • Students who have been \u201cDismissed Due to Failure to Register\u201d may appeal in writing to the Dean to continue his study within a period of not more than two (2) consecutive semesters with the imposition of application processing and late registration fine as prescribed by University.<\/p><\/li>

            • Students who have submitted thesis for examination is required to register to maintain his status as a postgraduate student until the thesis examination is completed.<\/p><\/li>

            • Students who have exceeded the maximum duration of studies and have not submitted their thesis\/project report are required to apply for extension of duration of their studies from the Faculty at least four (4) weeks from the registration date.<\/p><\/li>

            • All application for extension of study should be made using the Application for Study Extension form (糖心原创\/PPPS\/C\/PO3\/AK06\/02).<\/p><\/li>

            • Students who has health or other problems may apply for deferment of study from the Faculty at least four (4) weeks from the registration date. All application for deferment should be made using the Study Deferment Application Form (糖心原创\/PPPS\/C\/PO3\/AK06\/01).<\/p><\/li>

              Coursework Mode<\/strong><\/p>

              • In each semester, students will be awarded grade as assessments. The standard of academic achievement and condition to continue studies are as follows:<\/p><\/li>

              • Students shall achieve a CGPA of 3.00 in each semester and pass all courses as prescribed by the program. Students who received grade of C- and below are required to repeat the courses.<\/p><\/li>

              • A student who does not improve his performance to at least a CGPA of 3.00 in his semester in which he had been given the \u201cConditional Pass\u201d status, shall be dismissed from his study programme. A student will not be given a \u201cConditional Pass\u201d status for two consecutive semesters throughout his study.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

                Research Mode<\/strong><\/p>
